I felt quite visible in this outfit (since most everyone else was in logo tees and sweatshirts.) The jeans are DKNY that I was a bit unsure about when I purchased them only to become obsessed with all the outfits I can create with them as a base piece. It is hard to see in these photos, but the pattern actually has some rosy purple in it. The jacket is Chico's and the top from K-Mart.
The jacket is solid purple and not two different shades as seen. |

I hope you will visit Not Dead Yet Style for yet another fashionable Visible Monday with so many women who are such wonderful examples of fabulous style.
I love the outfit. The jacket rings my chimes. And the dog.
ReplyDeleteI can see why you've become so fond of these jeans, Debbi - they really have a terrific flair. Harry - you look adorable when you are disobeying your mom!! : > Thanks for linking up to Visible Monday.
ReplyDeleteExcellent jeans! I just got my first patterned pair recently, and I, too, was weirdly nervous about it, but now I love them. I am also admiring the arm party; if I'm going to do it up on the jewellery, I always load up my hands and wrists. Now if I could just learn to layer necklaces as well as you do, I'd be in business. :)
ReplyDeleteGotta love a girl that wears that much bling! I love it - and it's a great way for us older girls to stay on trend.

Love the pants! ?And all you bracelets. Did you have fun
ReplyDeleteIt was okay. Too much stuff that was for cleaning house and not enough just fun stuff. But I enjoyed looking around.
DeleteI love this outfit! Are they floral print jeans? They're very cool and the purple satin jacket is fab!
ReplyDeleteThe pattern is called a crystal pattern. Maybe one of those that they use a crystal for inspiration. It is an odd pattern but I like it.
DeleteLove the outfit!! Those jeans are gorgeous and WOW on the purple jacket!!
ReplyDeleteAnd of course-adorable Harry the Ham!!
Debbie, I LOVE the fact that you are dressed in that gorgeous purple jacket with the stylish jeans when the other folks are in logo sweats and jeans. Never mind your fabulous manicure and beautiful bracelets!! I hope you had a good time; it sounds like fun.
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks great! i know you said you weren't sure, but from here it looks really good. Have you aways had light hair? You look totally natural as a blond-ish. :-)
Jean, my natural color was a medium brown until I started taking steriods for my asthma then it turned really dark brown. I have colored it blond off and on for much of my life. Usually I have had it with a lot of highlights. Thanks for saying it looks like I could be a natural blondish!
DeletePatterned jeans always look like such fun, and I haven't had any for years! Maybe I should take that leap, too. They look great on you, and I love the purple jacket. Visible indeed!
ReplyDeleteGreat decision...always look better than those around you!! You are so in style with this look...patterned pants are everywhere and the color of the jacket is vibrant. Great decisions!! Have a wonderful week, Debbi.
ReplyDeleteThe color of this jacket is amazing! You look great in it!
ReplyDeleteLovely dog!
The jeans are very cool! I can see how you'd find a multitude of ways to style them.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that you turned heads in this outfit at the Women's Fair and inspired many. The jeans are beautiful and look great with purple and of course, your brilliant use of bling. You are radiant in these photos!
ReplyDeleteThose pants are really flattering. They've been cut so the pattern gives you a strong vertical "lift." You were right to take a risk and add them to your wardrobe!
ReplyDeletePurple and brown are a favorite combination of mine.
What a beautiful jacket. I just love how a jacket pulls everything all together. I've never really thought of outfits in three pieces before until recently. I'm jacket obsessed now. And cardigans too.
ReplyDeleteI love your patterned pants too. Sounds like it's been sparking your outfit creativity. ;)
I love that satin jacket - it's a great colour on you! Such funky pants! You are certainly working the patterned trousers trend like nobody's business, Debbi! I bet all those frumpy people at the fair were wishing they'd dressed a little better, after they saw you. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the patterned pants, Debbi! You look wonderful in them. I bet you inspired a whole army of women with your trendy look!

Your outfit and jewelry are just beautiful. Love that purple. Your nail polish perfectly accents your ensemble. I bet you lit up that women's fair with your lovely smile and style.
ReplyDeleteSuper duper cute outfit, Debbi! I love it. I think it's my favorite look on you ever :)
ReplyDeleteVisible in an awesome, super way! Everything in this outfit works together brilliantly. The bracelets are so pretty, and I am envious of your well cared for hands and nails. I have been having trouble with my nails this winter.
ReplyDeleteI agree, your natural movement is probably a type two, which is soft and subtle.

ReplyDeleteWow! Again! You look completely fabulous. So happy you cut a wide swath at your event. Doesn't it feel good to dress like you mean it? Good for you. With or without the subtle color that's hard to see, this outfit works a treat. You really have developed a personal style that just works and works and works ... like the Energizer Style-Bunny!
ReplyDeleteYou look great in that outfit. Really nice nail polish - makes your jewelry look even better..
ReplyDeleteThose pants are very cool. I love this!
ReplyDeleteI love that you were all dressed up in a sea of tees! I love the pattern on the pants. It is surprising sometimes how easy it is to remix a piece like that. Love your look. Debbie

I like totally and agree. And I think that in order to be comfortable with your style is to wear it more often. So wear your style to the lab on days that you don't have to do anything bloody, muddy or otherwise gross!
