Another Monday, Another Maxi

I was thinking I should apologize for yet another maxi, but heck if I were wearing an outfit with yet another pair of jeans, I would not apologize for that so here I am. This dress is one I purchased at the 1/2 of 1/2 (Name Brand Clothing) Store for $6.99. I love this store. Most of what I purchase now is from this store. It is part entertainment and part bargain hunting. The store is closed every Tuesday for stocking of new merchandise. Wednesday morning is the best time for bargain shopping. Last week I scored a pair of Ralph Lauren jeans for $24.00. Yes, it cost more than a thrift store might charge, but the likelihood of me finding my size, brand new with tags, in a thrift store is near zero.

Jacket: Chico's

Necklaces: Pearl and diamond journey pendant
I wanted to share with you a nail polish that I think is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. This picture does not begin to show how pretty this polish really is. This is A England Princess Tears polish from The Mythicals collection. It is described as "lilac with an incandescent holo finish revealing gray/green."

Photo from A England Polish
All of the A England polishes that I have tried are just beautiful. They can be purchased in the US from Llarowe  or from the UK A England. I do not have any affiliation with either of these companies. I have purchased polish from Llarowe several times and have been very happy with them.

I hope you will join me along with all the other fashionable ladies for Visible Monday and Monday Mingle.

  2. Yes, like Sabine said - why not wear what you like and what flatters you? And these maxis are so flattering. You're right about the nail polish - the color is simply gorgeous. I'm always on the lookout for a new, different color, thanks!

  9. Nothing wrong with rocking the maxi dress. I pretty much wear the same 8 skirts all summer. Besides, who would say no to that gorgeous shade of pink with bright mint sandals. Not this girl. Love the new polish. It sounds like a lighter version of one I tried once. It was a darker silver with a cool holo effect.

  13. I'm on the maxi train with you! They're so comfortable and easy in the summer. The pink and blue are a great combo on you, and I love the nail polish color. So many different colors in one, yet an elegant neutral.

  14. Nice looking dress.

My issue with polishes that have sparkly bits is that they don't always have a smooth surface.

  16. Oh Debbi I don't ever think a maxi dress is something to apologize for! I love this pink on you! I want to come shopping with you on Wednesdays!!!!

It has been a bit since I've been to your blog (sorry about that--blame my schedule), but I want to say that it looks great here! I love the new layout and header. ALSO I've been admiring your jewelry on MMD a few times and just wanted to say that you are such a talented lady!

  18. That's right Debbi, we don't have to apologize for anything we want to wear. :-) Pink is definitely one of your best colors and I love that dreamy nail polish. So, so pretty. Have a wonderful week! xo

  19. You just stay on riding that maxi train! You look great! Your nails are lovely too. I tried nail polish for the first time in a long time this week and, woe, it's an unsightly mess now. All that work and now I have to remove it. I wish chipped nail polish were in vogue...

  20. Wow, another pretty maxi! I love the pink color with the white jacket and pearls. So feminine, fun and summery. The nail color is very pretty too. It looks sparkly...or a bit glittery, but elegant.
