We had to take my houseplants back inside for the winter, so my background is a bit stark now. I really wasn't feeling well yesterday when these pictures were taken, so I had minimal accessories.

Love your fringe jacket, Debbi! And I like the scarf you've put with it, has a western/kerchief feel but not too literal. Nice!
ReplyDeletedear debbie, i hope you feel better now!
ReplyDeleteyou look so cute in your cowboy jacket. it reminds me to bonanza, a tv-series i watched in my childhood. we sometimes did play cowboys and indians with the boys. i prefered to be an indian girl because of the nicer outfit and the pretty feather in my hair. take care of you!
Aww, nice to see your great jacket! Thanks for the reminder - I have to bring in my rosemary today. Thanks also for your kind comment on my blog. Hope you're feeling better.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great look for the first cold weekend!! I also like the colors you put your jacket with!! In answer to your comment on my post, this is the first Coldwater Creek item I have seen at Marshalls. We have really great Marshalls here...they are hard to get out of without spending money and like yours, they have amazing shoe departments! Have a great week, Debbi!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great fringed jacket, Debbi, love the nostalgia it brings, too! Sorry you're under the weather, and hope you're feeling much better soon. Thanks for linking up to Visible Monday.
ReplyDeleteThe outfit rocks. I want the jacket. Really. And I hope you feel better right away.
ReplyDeleteYes, I had one similar to yours...I wonder where that went? It actually reminded me more of my hippie days with the fringed moccasins and low rise bells...sigh. The Indian beaded headband... But then I did get into the cowboy boots too and I did want to be a cowboy when I was little and eat canned beans over the campfire. The memories...My goodness does this mean I've gotten old?! Anyway, you look comfy and cool as in hep, or hip in the ensemble you've put together today. And hope you're feeling better real soon.
ReplyDeleteYou look FABULOUS!!! I love the jacket!
ReplyDeleteI was a real "horse nut" when I was a kid!! and how I loved my Jane West Doll and horse!
I've been after one of those jackets all my life! I first fell in love with Roger Daltrey's watching Woodstock footage and but have never struck lucky! You look utterly brilliant, cool, stylish and funky. x
ReplyDeleteI love the fringe leather jacket! What a great take on the western look. I think that fashion's fascination with the cowboy will never die!
ReplyDeleteLove the fringe! I bought a rust version of this- and it was too small- but I felt I had to rescue it from the thrift store- it's such a great jacket!
ReplyDeleteYou wear the cutest outfits!! I love the combination of colors and textures, too. Makes me want to put together something similar and I think I am definitely going to buy the colored pants I have had my eye on that are on sale today. :) Hope you're feeling better!
ReplyDeleteLove the fringe jacket with the plummy jeans. The colors are perfect together. I keep looking longingly at a pair of Trippens with fringe. I keep trying to convince myself it's not my style, but fringe really is fun.
ReplyDeleteLove your jacket, darling!! I have some shoes that would be pefect with them!! its getting cold here too :( not looking forward to it that much. stay warm
ReplyDeleteOoh, I like the jacket, and those jeans are a great colour.
ReplyDeleteI remember learning Home on the Range as a 5 year old at school and dressing up as cowboys and Indians!
Thank you for visiting my blog! xx
Dear Debbie, sorry to hear that you are not feeling too well, I hope that you will be better soon. The jacket looks great!
ReplyDeleteYou look great. Maybe it's the playing with the Cowboys.
ReplyDeleteGreat jacket, and I love the shirt and scarf. VERY cool outfit!! I've been eyeing Toms at my Whole Foods, and even went so far as to try them on. Since it's an altruistic company, I can rationalize the purchase to a degree. I love the way they compliment your ensemble. Feel better!!!
ReplyDeleteFringe looks so cool, but I'm very weird about stuff hanging off my clothes, where I might catch it against other stuff. I love your colours, and am probably going to swipe the buckskin/burgundy pairing soon, because it looks great.
ReplyDeleteYou look great and you pulled that jacket off! I hope you feel better!
ReplyDeleteLove the color of those pants, Debbi! I have some very similar. Hope you're feeling healthy again soon!!! ~Sarah
ReplyDeleteI like how the scarf picks up the color of the pants. Very chic.
ReplyDeleteNice jacket Debbie i love it with the blue shirt
ReplyDeleteYes i played cowboys and indians with the neighborhood boys and girls , was so much fun! Nice memories
Ariane xxxx
Love the pants, Debbi. They're a hot fall color. The scarf color looks great with them.
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better.
I love all things fringe and as you know I didn't have to play Indian or as we Native's spell it...NDN!! LOL Kiah
ReplyDeleteI'm DYING over this jacket! I LOVE fringe and this jacket is so LOVELY!
ReplyDeleteXOXO

I love the combo of wine and tan. The fringe jacket looks great--nice western touch. I played some variation of "horsewoman" when I was a kid. My mom even made me a burlap horse head and attached it to a broom handle. I don't know what those things are called, but it made a nice imaginary horse. Later, I just pretended my bike was a horse. I could cover more ground on it than with a broom - lol!
ReplyDeleteYou always look so cute. We have a different taste in shoes but yours always look comfy and I love that. I am just sooo short that total flats never look good on me. Otherwise...CUTE!!
ReplyDeleteI love the way flats look on taller women, but like you, I'm a shorty and have always just worn heels. I'm guessing by your comment that you'd like to see what some of Debi's ensembles would look like with a little heel. Me, too. Do you ever wear a little bit of a high heel, Debi?
DeleteI have never been good at wearing any sort of heel. I think my feet are just too duck-like to wear them. Any time I have even a 2 inch heel I end up falling off the sides. Now that I have a bad knee, I really cannot take the pain of even standing on heels. I have tried some on because I have seen other bloggers wearing them and looking so great, but when you hurt the moment they are on your feet, I am thinking that my body is screaming "NO!" Actually, I made the decision to stick with flats the first and last time I wore a pair of boots with a 2" heel and fell really hard on a sidewalk. The boots are so cute that they are still in my closet, but I am scared to wear them.
DeleteOkay, this jacket is amazing! I love how you've styled it with your scarf and pretty blouse. You've maintained both a feminine and frontier feeling with this. I always wanted a real horse when I was a kid. My sister had a great dane and that was almost like a pony.
ReplyDeleteWowwwwwwwwwwww Debbie your photos are getting bigger and you more gorgeous.

You sure don't look like you feel erpy here! Once again, a snappy outfit trumps feeling less- than-chipper. I like you in skinnies, and this deep color and little flats makes the jacket look modern instead of costumey. You got it just right, as usual. Hope you are feeling perkier by now!
ReplyDeleteYou look your best ever! This is one of my most favorite looks that you have ever posted. Beautiful hair, perfect fringe and scarf...just lovely Debbi, really! Enjoyed your description of your special horse. dawn suitcase vignettes xo
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great outfit, and very exotic to Scandinavian people! The shirt is very beautiful, and blue colour is great with your amazing fringed jacket! Hopefully you're feeling much better today!
ReplyDeleteYour fringe jacket looks great with the matching scarf and jeans - a very smart outfit. I sure remember playing cowboys and indians with my brothers and sisters. I preferred being an indian because I found their culture fascinating! I like an old western movie when they appear on TV, especially the scenery. Hope you are feeling better :)
ReplyDeleteI loooooooove anything western! Your fringed leather to fantastic. Western/southwest is going to be huge this season. Lucky you for having that coat.
ReplyDeleteI came over from Une Femme... You had me at your tagline...
ReplyDelete:)
Very cool Jacket today! I didn't realize that western influence was going to be hot this season like Style Agent says. That makes me want to look for a suede vest like your jacket. I've always wanted one.
ReplyDeleteI love your jacket! I'm a fool for some fringe. Seriously, fringe and tassels; they get me every time.
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling a bit better. I'm just getting over the crud myself and it's not good.
How wonderful that you can remember the fine details of the Cowboy and Indian games you played as a child ... yes, I remember playing them too, but I recall tiring of it very quickly and much preferred climbing the nearest tree:). Your jacket is lovely and we've had another cold snap here - such weird weather - don't know if we're coming or going! xo
ReplyDeleteWhat a b-e-a-utiful jacket Debbi! It looks sensational on you. I have a similar one that my grandmother passed down to me and I love it to pieces. In fact, it may be time to break it out before the snow comes . . .
ReplyDeleteI never played cowboys and indians, but my daughter is OBSESSED with horses atm. So she gallops and crawls all around the house with a scarf tied to her shirt on either side for her "reins". It is just about the cutest thing ever.
I'm not much of a fringe fan, but that outfit looks great on you. Love the color choices.
ReplyDeleteI love the fringe jacket - it takes me back to the mod squad era, or maybe it's your shiny straight blonde hair that is channeling Peggy Lipton.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great fringe jacket and really nice colors paired with it. I too was a horse crazy girl. I galloped around so much my mother always said she was afraid I would become a horse. My frustration at not getting to have a horse actually lead me to art as I was always drawing them. And I really wanted to be an outlaw, like Jesse James (still do sometimes). I am currently intrigued by Rocky Mountain Horses with their unusual chocolate dapple and flaxen manes and tales. I did get to own a high stepping appaloosa for a while. I still miss her. She was a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteThe fringe is so you... love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for a smile to my face with memories about imaginary friends and playgrounds. It's funny that you have lived the first frost of the season has begun, yet it is very hot here. Love your jacket! You always looks great!
ReplyDeleteI totally had a childhood love of fringe! - http://wendybrandes.com/blog/2008/07/more-fringed-bags/
ReplyDeleteThank you my deares Debbie.
ReplyDeleteFabulous fringe.
