I purchased some new boots from Amazon this past week with some money I got for Christmas. On Christmas day, my sister was wearing these boots in black. She had purchased them from a local boutique for $160. I hoped to find them for less and after some searching, I found them on Amazon for $40. I ended up getting both the taupe and black since they were such a good price.
For today's outfit, I combined the taupe boots with pattern and shine in gold and blue. I started out with the pants tucked into the boots but I was unsure if I really liked it so I ended up untucking them. It is hard for me to find anything pants that are tight enough through the calves to tuck in boots. Plus-side skinny or jeggings are not made for those of us with smaller calves (although mine aren't that tiny!)

It is hard to see the pattern on the pants, but it is a large brocade pattern. Because I had so much pattern going on, I decided to go with minimal accessories. I have had this bracelet and matching earrings for a long time and haven't worn it much. It is so beautiful that I am kind of afraid to wear it and risk damaging it. It went so perfectly with this outfit that I had to get it out.

Oh, such excellent details on the boots (awesome score!), and beautiful bracelet! Today's colours suit you so well.

Hot damn those are some kickin' boots! Great job hunting down a good price on them too. That is a gorgeous bracelet too.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing your story and journey with us, Debbi! Without the blogging world I never would have connected with so many amazing people.
Happy New Year to you!
Debbi, Happy New Year. I am so envious of your smashing deal on those boots!! That bracelet is pretty rad too. Excellent outfit. I especially like the second photo for some reason.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Debbi, and thanks for supporting Visible Monday all year with your wonderful posts and kind thoughts. We'll be having a quiet evening too (hmmm, not just because we're 50+, right?) : > Love your new boots and fabulous bracelet.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderfully styled outfit my dear! Wishing you all the best in the coming year!
ReplyDeleteI like the boots both ways - you're so lucky to have skinny(ish) calves! The jewelry is lovely, and I hope you will wear it more!
ReplyDeleteA very Happy New Year to you, my dear! Thank you for having us along on the ride of your style journey!
Hi Debbi, love the taupe boots and that jacket, it would go perfect with a fancy dinner party! Thank you for sharing and have a wonderful rest of the week! xo
ReplyDeleteMore wonderful accessories! What an amazing bracelet - I can understand wanting to wear it only when you're sure it won't get damaged. And those boots are so good, of course getting both colors was the right thing to do. I like the contrast of the tan boot peeking out the bottom of the dark pant.
ReplyDeleteGreat ensemble built from some wonderful pieces- those boots, are the right color- I see them stomping their way with floral dress this spring- and the jacket is sweet- a great touch for NYE. But that bracelet is precious. love the colors, texture play in it. the Citizen Rosebud
ReplyDeleteGreat boots, a jacket I love, but the bracelet: Brillian!! Altogether a beautiful outfit. Wishing you a very Happy New Year, and all the best for 2013. Glad to have met you this year in the Blogosphere.
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job pulling this all together!! My favorite outfit on you. I love the boots. I bet your sister is a little jealous in the smart shopper you are. It's so satisfying looking around to find the best price on things. I use to shop on Zappos a lot but then I discovered that I can always find it cheaper on Amazon or Shoebuy because of their deals they offer. Can't wait to see how you style more!
ReplyDeleteCool Boots! You bought two pairs for less than the price of one...how awesome is that??
ReplyDeleteDouble love those boots!!! And in two colours you have the wardrobe covered for versatility!!! Happy New Year from Down Under...J

Fabulous boots! I have the same issue with finding pants snug enough on calves. Have you tried the NYDJ ponte knit jeans? I haven't yet. I've yet to meet a brocade I didn't love and your jacket is gorgeous and such fun! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteThat is one stunning bracelet. Exquisite detail! I also love the neckline on your blouse. So pretty. It's been a pleasure reading your posts in these last months of 2012 and I look forward to more delights in 2013. Happy New Year!
