Visible Monday - Black, White, and Red

This is what I wore to go to breakfast, PetCo, and Walmart. My life has been rather quiet here lately. I guess that is a good thing. We did spend Saturday viewing the Homeland marathon on Showtime. Now I understand why it got so many Emmy's. It has a lot of twists and turns. Just when you think you have the bad guys figured out, a twist occurs that leaves you wondering.

I am meeting my best friend for lunch today so I will keep this post short. I will be joining Patti at Not Dead Yet Style for Visible Monday
and Nicole at Momtrends for Monday Mingle.

The photo on the right is my accidental "blogger looking at shoes" pose.
Jacket: Lane Bryant via 1/2 of 1/2 store
Top: don't remember
Jeans: NYDJ Sheri Skinny
Shoes: Payless Shoe Source
Necklace: Chico's
I hope to see many of you on our weekly fashion linkup. I find it more exciting to see what all of you wear than I do the glossy fashion magazines. Have a great Monday.

  19. Oh, I agree - it's so much fun to see what our friends are wearing. I like your boldness of colour here! The circles in the necklace look great with the stripes. You've reminded me how much I like to go out for breakfast, which I haven't done in quite a while... I hope you had a good time.

  20. Love your outfit!! I'd totally wear it! In fact--you are probably closest style-wise to what I wear in real life!

I find more inspiration from the REAL ladies blogging then I do the models in the magazines!

  21. I would never have thought to put that necklace with that outfit ... but it really works. You do, in fact, STILL accessorize very well!

  22. Beautiful necklace! And what a sweet thing to say about like to see what everyone else is wearing more than looking at glossy magazines. And it's true.

  23. Love the necklace! And the jeans are such a great bold statement. Black white and red is one of those combinations that always feels like the basis of a very smart outfit that means business but the red jeans here are really quite fun!

  24. Hi Debbi, Just found your blog via Beryl's. As another over-60, plus-size, breast cancer and mastectomy survivor, I have enjoyed your recent posts very much. It has only been 6 months for me, and I was not warned about the difficulties with shape and clothing. My waist seems so huge now! Your fashion choices are really lovely and I look forward to following. I will add you to the favourites on my blog too. Patricia

  25. Debbi, black, white and red is a color combo that's always a winner in my book. I really like how that large black diagonal stripe shows itself here and there under your jacket. Hope you had a good lunch with your friend!

  26. Your necklace is just gorgeous, Debbi. And I love the layered look you've put together with the longer top under the shorter jacket. The b&w with red jeans is really striking on you. Good point: seeing what other bloggers wear is much more fun than looking at any "fashion" magazine!
