It looks better in person; I promise!
One thing I have learned from my time blogging is that often an outfit will look different in a photograph than in real life. Today's outfit is definitely one of "those." The colors of the Chico's jacket are much prettier in person. (I sure miss Picnik photo software, it was so easy to use to correct colors. PicMonkey is just not the same.) In person, the Chico's necklaces pick up the purplish colors in the plaid. I felt very stylish while running a few errands and getting my hair trimmed.
As usual, Mr. Harry was excited about the photo session. He was so excited that he was moving so quickly he was just a blur. He was a very happy blur while shaking his loofa toy (the yellow blur.)
I hope you will all join me over at Patti's for Visible Monday with all the lovely ladies whose style I so admire. My gosh, it is getting to be a really big party!

Oh, I LOVE the picture with Mr. Harry! Classic. Fun plaid jacket! Trying to get colors correct on digital photos can really be a bear sometimes.
ReplyDeleteAnd you look so ready for the party! The plaid jacket is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYou look cute as always Debbi!! Try Picasa...it is a free download photo editing program. I use it and really love it! But, the plaid jacket actually looks good...no worries!
ReplyDeleteYour plaid jacket is wonderful! I can imagine how bright the colors are in reality. The problem with the pics I know oh so well. Particularly when the light is low the colors are dulled. Harry is so a sweetie.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about colors in photos. This jacket looks attractive.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous necklace against the multicolored jacket. No wonder you felt stylish as you were out and about. I love it when Harry becomes part of the action!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful look! The jacket is great!

You look great in that outfit - it might be my favorite one of the year. I am so impressed that you edit your pictures. I'll have to Google how to do that.
ReplyDeleteI think the jacket looks great and those necklaces are just perfect. I have problems with my colors in photos too, but I really think that last shot shows the harmony of the necklace and the jacket well.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great, great classic jacket, Debbi! I can see why you're enjoying it. Hey Harry, you are loving that loofah!
ReplyDeleteI love your jacket - so Chanel-y! Great outfit!!

Pretty jacket Debbi! I hate it when the colors in photos don't show up the way you want them too. Mine do that a lot too. This is a cute, casual yet very pulled together look.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful jacket, beautiful necklace!
ReplyDeleteI miss Picnik, too! I use iPhoto for editing...it's okay but not like the Picnik. :(
You know I love dogs, so photobomb by Mr Harry is always welcome!
Very stylish, Debbi. I like your hair too.
ReplyDeleteI love this look on you with the pants tucked into boots. I often find Chico's stuff in thrift stores and consignment shops and wonder why women give up such things, in such great shape too?
ReplyDeleteI like that you paired the purple with the jacket. It's unexpected and makes it hip!
Even if the colors aren't totally true it's good to see an outfit in a photo. Everything pulls together. I think the jacket looks good with the boots.
ReplyDeleteYour hair is looking really good, have you tweaked the coloring?
Very pretty outfit. Love the jacket and necklace.
ReplyDeleteI want to comment on the picture where you are leaning slightly to pet the dog....my 8 year old son said "Why does she have arrows sticking out of her back?" LOL.
I can really see the beautiful colors in that last picture, Debbi! The purples are just gorgeous!!!

Gorgeous, Debbie! I love those textures of the jacket and your jewels and, yes, Harry and his loofa. LOL. I want a loofa or a toy that would make me a blur of happiness too!!
ReplyDeleteI will have to meet you in person, then, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
ReplyDeleteWouldn´t it be grand???

I love the textures and colors of your jacket with the necklaces. Not to mention your pants tucked into your boots. Very arty. And Harry blurred by excitement with his toy cracked me up when I saw the pix.
ReplyDeleteI love purple and green together and this outfit does not disappoint. You and Harry both look happy with your treasures.
ReplyDeleteCute jacket! You and me, styling in plaid this week. You're right--Miss Patti started a real party, didn't she? Thanks for stopping by my blog recently. I was delighted to see your comment!

Ooh that jacket is so fab! I think your outfit looks pretty awesome to me.
ReplyDeleteThat is one very attractive jacket, Debbie, and I am loving your purple beads. Win, Win, and thumbs up from me.
ReplyDeleteI love that jacket. The colors are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI miss Picnik too! I've been using FotoFlexer, but it's not as good.
ReplyDeleteI love the texture of the jacket and the necklaces are wonderful too. Harry is also a wonderful fashion accessory. Don't dogs just cheer you up every day? I know mine do.
ReplyDeleteThe colors come across pretty convincingly on this end, Debbi ... I see what you love about this outfit. Chanel inspired jacket, pretty, colorful beads ( I am especially obsessed with chain or bead tassles!), jeans and rich texture on your really good looking boots. Your look says "I'm someone who is to nice to tell you directly, but you may wish to kiss up to me a bit, because I am a woman of taste and style." (All of which you would never think about yourself, much less say, but is true nonetheless!) Lovely Harry, as well.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
That's a very beautiful jacket, even with the "wrong" colouring. Jackets like that are so versatile, great with jeans, dress pants and skirts. Your necklaces are gorgeous! One day you must take photos of your collection!
ReplyDeleteGreat to see Harry is enjoying himself!
Gorgeous jacket and I love the pop of the purple necklaces!! You look so fabulous you had no worries of being featured on peopleofwalmart.com!!
ReplyDeleteAAAAWWW--how cute is Harry!!
I love the tassel necklace. I know what you mean about clothes looking different in photos - so frustrating.
ReplyDeleteIt is so frustrating when the colors of the pictures are not like the real one!! You look very elegant, love that jacket, so versatile! Greetings to Harry!
ReplyDeleteStunning jacket and layered necklaces, and ditto Gracey on the final detail photo coming though. Oh, to have Mr. Harry-level enthusiasm! How awesome.
ReplyDeleteI think that plaid jacket is fantastic! Its a very classic shape but the unusual colour gives it a very modern twist, as do the addition of your necklaces.
ReplyDeleteThat collar necklace is INCREDIBLE. But I'm sure you know that already. Thanks for the tip on the Wendy B give-away- it is a dream of mine to own an original piece of Wendy Brandes jewelery!
ReplyDeleteI vote for lilac hair- do it!
