A Quiet Thursday

This was one of those quiet days when not much is going on. My outfit is not a very inspired one, but it is what I wore.

Jacket: Chico's
Tee: Coldwater Creek
Jeans: French Dressing Jeans Jegging
Sandals: Think! Julia

Necklace: Ann's Fashions
Just like in most of the USA, our weather is unusually warm. 80 degrees in March? I do like to have my toes in the open air and it was a joy to wear sandals.

Tomorrow I am going for my first acupuncture treatment. I am looking forward to it. The Doctor is also my Thursday yoga teacher. I am so excited to learn more about this ancient treatment. I hope to learn some ways to do some acupressure on myself. Dr. Barbara has showed us some in yoga class. It is amazing how sore some of the pressure points are.  I will report back on my experience.

  1. As a fan of black and white this look speaks to me. I love the pop of pink too and your choice of necklace is fresh and feminine.

  2. Great print! I really should have broken out the sandals today too. I was melting in boots. Do give an update to your acupuncture.

  3. I like the black and white with a splash of pink...and that necklace is awfully cute.
We are the exception to the rest of the nation's nice weather. It's been rainy and cold - but I am loving it. We had a very warm and dry winter.

I hope The Doctor will provide you some relief. Good luck!

  4. You look great. The pink is a nice touch, and that jacket would work well with many colors.

  5. I had accupuncture done once on my sinuses of all things. To me, it felt like I had no taste buds for about two weeks. I hope your experience is more positive. I like this outfit and it is perfect for the weather we've had. I spent the day thrifting and went for the "invisible" look.

  6. I like your look, Debbi - the pink top and statement necklace are so springy and fresh. Good luck at the doc's; please keep us informed.

  7. I love the simple drama of your outfit! My DH had shingles and Bell's palsy a few years back, and acupuncture helped him recover from the Bell's in weeks rather than the usual months it takes to get muscle function back. So I'm a believer.

  8. This jacket just makes me happy for some reason. I love black and white and the pattern is so fun! No worries about you just being able to mail the necklace. I am just so happy to be getting it at all! Thanks again! Kiah

  12. That outfit is a winner! The cut of the jacket is flattering, is it banded across the bottom?

  13. I'm not sure why you say this outfit is uninspired. I think it's great and very well put together. Love the pink accents and the jewelry you've chosen to wear with it.
My gosh, I'm envious of all you girls in your cute sandals....and I'm normally not one to be envious...but I sure can't wait for it to warm up here. A little sunshine and temps above 50 degrees, paleeeeeeeze.

  16. I like your necklace...the details are lovely. Looks great with your jacket, the print is fabulous. I like the pop of pink peeping out from under. Sometimes it's the quiet moments that we surprises ourselves... have a wonderful week. And looking forward to hearing about your acupuncture treatment. I am especially terrified of needles!

  17. You look great. No one would guess that you didn't have to put much work into this outfit. Perhaps that's another of the many benefits of all of the self-examination that goes into blogging- even an easy, quickly put together outfit looks chic because you have already put the work in, figuring out what looks good. You might not think it's particularly inspired but I think it looks like you just nailed *effortless style.* It's inspiring, if not inspired.
