I wanted to do a post on my K-Mart finds, but I hope you will understand why I haven't done it. I also want to do a giveaway since I now have 100 subscribers. Please bear with me and I will get it done. You all mean a lot to me and I really appreciate the support you have given me throughout the past year.

A not so good Friday
This morning our vet called and told us the results of the biopsy on our sweet girl Airedale, Jada. She has cutaneous lymphoma and that she is in bad shape. We are going to make her comfortable as long as we can and then make the decision on what to do. I am pretty down right now. She is really the sweetest dog ever. She's never torn things up or done anything really naughty. We got her from Airedale Terrier Rescue when she was about 5. She had been given up because her owners had a little girl and dealing with a dog after the kid came along obviously wasn't something the Mother wanted to deal with. She told rescue that Jada had nipped her daughter trying to get candy away from her. Knowing Jada, the little girl probably teased her with it and accidently hit teeth. Jada is such a lady when taking treats that I cannot believe she would try to get something away from anyone. She has been a great dog and it breaks my heart that she is so sick.
I wanted to do a post on my K-Mart finds, but I hope you will understand why I haven't done it. I also want to do a giveaway since I now have 100 subscribers. Please bear with me and I will get it done. You all mean a lot to me and I really appreciate the support you have given me throughout the past year.

Oh, Debbi, my heart goes out to you and your family. Poor Jada! Of course, this brings back all of the emotions around our dear Inigo in March/April.
ReplyDeleteI hope you can take some comfort in knowing that you have given her a wonderful life and a very loving home, more than she would have had in her previous home. Enjoy all the time you have left with her, and give her lots of love.
Big hugs to you, my dear.
I can feel your sorrow. I have seventeen year old cat who is my "daemon" if you are familiar with the Golden Compass Series...my alter ego. I have nursed her back from several down times. She has pancreaitis and cannot last very long. I just cherish every moment she can have with us. My sympathies.
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm so sorry. It's the hardest thing, facing losing a beloved pet, especially one so sweet and loving.
ReplyDeleteAh, Debbi, my heart hurts for you. Sweet Jada, she has known only love from you, and that's the way it will always be. My thoughts are with you.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear this. Such a terrible place to be. Hugs to you both.
ReplyDeleteDebbie, I'm so sorry to read about this. My thoughts are with you and prayers for Jada. This must be really tough and I feel for you and your husband. Take good care. Dawn suitcase vignettes xo
ReplyDeleteMy heart breaks when I read this. I am very sad at the news. I echo what Gracie and Sheila have already said - you surely gave Jada a new lease on life when she joined your family and you have obviously loved Jada tremendously as we could see in the photos you sometimes posted of her. My thoughts are with you.
ReplyDeleteI have been through this too many times...it is so hard. K Mart can wait...enjoy time with your sweet puppy. I am so sorry....
ReplyDeleteWe lost 3 rottweilers to diseases between 2008 and 2011. It's heartbreaking each and every time. We too make them comfortable as long as possible.. they are members of the family. All pets should be and I can tell that your Jada is as well. My heart goes out to you during this difficult time. :-(
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear about your dog. It's hard to lose a beloved pet.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to hear about Jada. I know how important and large a part of our lives animals easily become and I know you'll make the right decision at the right time.

ReplyDeleteI am so sorry. My heart breaks for you. Our pets are our family and it's so difficult to lose them.
ReplyDeleteAwww, Debbi. I am so sorry to hear that. We just lost my 20+year old kitty, Gomez, last weekend. He was really slowing down, and at the vet visit, he just drifted off.
ReplyDeleteJada sounds like a wonderful dog, and I know you gave her a very happy loving home. Giving them best we can for their short lives is all we can do.
I hope the vet can help you manage her illness as much as possible to minimize her pain and symptoms.. <3
Feel free to email any time if you need to talk.
Debbi so sorry to hear that - it's heartbreaking losing a dog, they are such wonderful companions and Jada sounds like a lovely dog.
ReplyDeleteDebbie - so sorry about Jada. We lost our dog a few months ago. Those guys really get into our hearts don't they?

ReplyDeleteI'm sorry your beloved friend and companion is sick. Give her a pat and a treat for me.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear that your Jada is sick. Pets become a member of the family and it's heartbreaking when they're not well. Take care of Jada and yourself; we will be here when you're feeling better.
ReplyDeleteOh Debbi--I am so sorry to hear about sweet Jada. {{{{{{hugs to you and her}}}}}}}}
ReplyDeleteI wanted to comment on your last outfit, but read this and wanted to let you know how sad I am for you. As much as I love our baby boy, I can imagine how much this must pain you. I'm so sorry Debbi. It makes me want to cry...
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry!! Please know, as Judith said, that we'll be here.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to hear that Jada is ill. I know how much this hurts. xx
ReplyDeleteI have lost several loving, devoted doggie souls to cancer in these last years. It is devastating! Since dogs give unconditional love, we have no mixed feelings. Hence, the loss of a pet is ever more poignant and painful. With my first loss, I took 3 days bereavement leave from work. I used the time to go through all the photos of her & make an album that I still cherish these 15 years later. Take care, take time, lick your wounds and be extra kind to yourself.

DeleteI can relate. I used to have a dog when I lived in Texas, and he was not the sweetest thing, but I loved him anyway. One night I stayed up for ours in the kitchen keeping him company during a thunderstorm because he was scared. I walked around like a zombie at work the next day. He's in dog heaven now, also because of illness.
ReplyDeleteI hope for all the best.

So sorry to hear about your dog... They add so much to our lives. I will keep her in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteI am really sorry to read about your dog. They do become our special little family members. We rescued Rockefeller just a year and a half ago and I can't imagine my life without him in it. Your Jada was fortunate to have found you and to have such a loving home. Hang in there and know many, many of us are sharing your pain and hoping this time with your dog, although difficult, will be special too.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great posting I have read. I like your article. Thank you
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog by chance and since I don't believe in coincidences I had to leave a note.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry knowing what you are going trough with your dog. I had a female Doberman that I still miss but she was so sick that we had to put her to sleep. So I understand you so much.
I also saw some of your posts with your looks.... and you've a great style dear.
If you feel like it stop by my blog it would be a pleasure for me.
