Visible Monday - A Casual Kind of Day

Thank you so much to all who sent such kind messages about my sweet Airedale Jada. The messages made a bad situation feel much better knowing that there are many who share a love of animals. Jada is now doing as well as possible. She is comfortable and sleeps quite a lot thanks to the pain medication and eating very well thanks to the prednisone.  I will be taking her in Monday morning to have her stitches removed.  I know we are doing all we can to make her as comfortable and happy as possible.

I wanted to get back to some sense of normalcy so I decided to participate in Visible Monday and Monday Mingle. This outfit is just a casual, going out to breakfast outfit. The tee is one of the ones I got at K-Mart and is one that provides a bit of glam with all the faux studs on the front. It is soft, comfortable. and one of my favorite neutral colors-olive green. I still have my other more interesting K-Mart pieces to show and hopefully I can get pictures soon.

Jacket: Lane Bryant
Tee: K-Mart
Jeans: JMS Jeggings Walmart
Shoes: Red Patent Think! Julia Sandals
Bracelets: On Left side: Leighelena
On Right Side: Yurman and Michele Watch

Necklace: Ax + Apple
(I realized that I had fastened this on the wrong ring so it isn't laying correctly.)
I hope you all enjoy the posts shared by all the lovely women on this weeks Visible Monday and Monday Mingle.

  2. I love olive and tan together. My husband had prednisone during some of his treatments and he was hungry all the time. Everybody thinks cancer patients are thin, but in his case he wasn't!

they look comfy and stylish and perhaps it's the colour red that I covet.

    Take care Debbie.

  7. I'm glad Jada is eating! And sleep is a good thing for her.

I'm also glad to see you smiling in your photo! The faux studs and the necklace look great together. This outfit reminds me of safari, but I like how you punched things up with the red sandals. I wore my floral pants today, inspired by yours!

  8. Sending lots of good thoughts to you and Jada. Wish the best for her.

You look like you're doing well though, I love the olive shirt with red sandals - those sandals are super cool. I need to try olive with red accents.

  17. Hi there! First of all I want to tell you how sorry you are going through such sadness with your faithful friend. It just breaks your heart and not a darn thing anybody can do about it.. I will pray for you to get through it as best as you can. Secondly I wanted to thank you for your comments over the last few weeks. It has been and will be for a while a very trying time. Like you I am trying to put normalcy back in my routine. It's not easy but it does help!
    Again, thanks for being there

  20. Sorry to hear that you are having to watch your beloved companion suffer, but at least you've been able to make her as comfortable as possible -- it sounds as if she's being well cared for.
Love those sandals -- and if they're Think! they must be comfortable as well as good-looking, right?

  22. I agree with how wonderful Olive Green is as a neutral, and that is an especially good top. I have enjoyed my Kmart finds, although most of them have been Martha Stewart kitchen stuff and linens. I will check out the clothes as soon as I'm back in Tulsa. I hope Jada perks up and enjoys herself, no matter what. She has the sweetest face.

  23. Debbi, your colors are so pretty and remind me a bit of safari colors. Love the combo. I go to kmart a lot. I check out their stuff to see if anything appeals to me and I get my most favorite underwear theres...5 for 15 buck. They don't give me a wedgie as much as other brands. Yep, Joe Boxers! Best underwear! Another thing about kmart, I find a lot of their clothing in the thrifts. I usually am drawn to their pieces for some reason so I know what you mean about finding things in their stores that are little gems. Take care and you are a great mama to your pup. 25. Glad your doggy is better.
Casual most always works for me. The jacket is great. I could see that in an urban safari look.

  26. Hey, Debbi, I saw your comment on Megan's blog (MMD) about your "really bad week" and I was afraid it was due to Jada. :( Just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking of you and hoping for good news. *hug*
