Today's outfit is one of my favorites. I have worn this same combo several times. It is probably not the typical summer outfit, but I certainly feel like I am a "hip 60 year old" when I wear it. I wish the pictures had come out better. My photographer decided to change the lighting and it just did not work well as you can see. We took the photos inside because over 100F degrees was a bit too much warmth for taking them outside.

Sorry to hear of Jada's passing.
ReplyDeleteIt's difficult and painful saying goodbye to a beloved pet.
I hope that you will find comfort in the many happy memories.
Sending you a hug today Debbie.

So sorry to hear about your dog.
ReplyDeleteWith the camera....if it has an exposure compensation button or menu item, try it at +2 or +1.7 and see what you think.
Nice outfit. I like the column of black concept.
So sorry to hear of Jada's passing. I know she was adored, and will always be a part of your life, that will never change. Saying goodbye to our beloved pets has been some of the most difficult days of our lives, and my heart goes out to you, Debbi. Thank you for re-joining us at Visible Monday, I have truly missed you!
ReplyDeleteDebbi I'm so sorry to hear of your loss... how lovely that you have such happy memories of her and that you gave her such a good and happy life :))

You're back, how great!! I love that jacket and you're right, this is a very hip outfit. Classic too so you can wear it forever.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about Jada. We learn so much from those we care about, even our pets. Sometimes especially our pets!
See you again soon!
Oh, I'm so sorry about the loss of your sweet pup. Our pets add so much love and joy to our lives. This is a great look on you, very well-chosen and chic!
ReplyDeleteLove the coin bracelet! Sorry about Jada.
ReplyDeleteLove your outfits, you do them so well! So sorry about your Jada, we couldn't imagine life without a dog. We're on our 7th and 8th Lhasa Apsos, so we've gone through a lot with losing them, but I guess that is the price for having such wonderful pets. But every loss is so difficult!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful necklace....
ReplyDeleteI am so very sorry to hear about your dog. Our old girl is quickly reaching the end of her quality days and we are going to have to make a decision very soon. It is so hard to let these friends go.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog. I want to share with you what a friend sent me: http://thefashioncode.com/ I am going to try some of their tips!
You ARE a hip 60 year old who looks way younger!! I am so sorry to hear about Jada...it was so sad for us to say goodbye to our two family dogs...that we have not replaced them...we have the cat now. I know it is difficult....But the really good news is that you look fabulous!
ReplyDeleteSO sorry for your loss!! I've only ever had hamsters, but I remember the sadness of losing them. I'm sure it would be even worse w/ a dog. I love your outfit, and I think you are very hip!
ReplyDelete{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} Oh Debbi I am so sorry to hear about sweet Jada. She's running pain-free at the Rainbow Bridge waiting for you!
ReplyDeletelove you outfit!! I am going to have to check Kmart out--the top looks awesome!
That necklace is a statement! Sorry for your loss!

Such a chic look. I love the coin-bracelet. My great-grandmother used to wear two necklaces - one with a tiny photo of my brother and I, the other was a set Sacajawea coin in gold. Love the add bit of toughness from the pleather patch. I love details like that.
ReplyDeleteI'm still so sorry to hear about Jada. She brought so much joy into your life. Sending lots of e-hugs and love.
I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your dog. Animals give us so much, I am sending you my sympathy.
ReplyDeleteMy condolences Debbie - very sorry to hear about your dear Jada, my parents did the same as you they had to put our family dog home, stayed with her and sat with her afterwards, I think they fed her chocolate cake as she slipped away. Take care of yourselves. Wonderful outfit, the necklace is fabulous against the black and the jacket is very chic.
ReplyDeleteAgain, so sorry to hear about Jada (god, I should never have re-read the Rainbow Bridge - that just kills me every time!). Extra cuddles for Vizzini today! When we put Inigo down, we sat with him for about half an hour, just petting him and being with his body for the last time.
ReplyDelete(Trying to hold it together here at my desk...).
Hugs,
Sheila
I'm sorry about your dog. I know how hard it is to lose a pet.
ReplyDelete(( Hugs ))
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry that you had to say good bye to Jada....yes, we need to be reminded sometimes just how precious life is.
ReplyDeleteI love that outfit!!!
Rest in peace, sweet pup. Wishing you comfort as you go through this transition. :(
ReplyDeleteSo sorry, Debbi - she always looked so sweet and happy in your pictures. I know you'll miss her.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear about Jada. I know that the grieving for any creature who is such a part of our households is a serious thing.

ReplyDeleteI'm very sad about Jada. At the very least you knew the time was coming and could shower her with affection in her last days. I was concerned when I hadn't seen any posts from you in a while. I'm glad you're back even though it is with heavy heart...
ReplyDeleteYou have still managed to look wonderful in this outfit. I think that short jacket suits you so well! It's fun, flirty and hip. And the patterning is bold too. I'm sure you'll get lots of wear from that great top.

ReplyDeleteMy sympathy for the loss of Jada.
ReplyDeleteWe got a bird from my MIL and honestly I didn't like it at all. Eventually we found someone to take him and despite being pleased that birdie was gone (he was very messy) I found that I listened for the ruffling of his feathers and his yelling out "hello" when I walked in the door.
I know for a pet you loved the absence will be painful.
I'm so sorry for your loss and know that Jada will be missed. She was well loved and it will take time to heal.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back! I missed your posts, and yes, you are a very hip 60 year old in this elegant ensemble. Your jewels provide a touch of glamour to the neutrals that you wear so well. But then you wear color well too!
I'm so sorry to know of Jada's passing.
ReplyDeleteIt's difficult and painful saying goodbye to a beloved pet, I know.... I've been there.
But you look very elegant and I love the jewelery.
Be well
xoxo
So incredibly sorry to hear about losing Jada. My heart goes out to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteThat outfit looks very lovely on you...simple but classy. The jewelry really sparks it up. That bracelet is awesome...Love coin jewelry.
Hang in there!
Glad to see you dressing up-you really do accessorize well :-)!! A loss is always hard. It symbolizes all the other losses and passages of time that we have to experience. I'll be thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteHugs to you.
