No outfit, but accessories are on display

The battery on the camera was almost dead and I just barely got the photos taken and downloaded before it bit the dust. Today I am featuring some bracelets I have made over the past few years.

All bracelets were made by me for me.

I really need to get back to creating jewelry again. I had thought to start a business at one time, but I find that most of what I create is hard for me to let go. I have made things as gifts and sold a very few pieces to a co-worker, but I have kept the rest. I hope you enjoy seeing them as much as I enjoyed making them.

  3. Whoa! You're an incredible artist! Those pieces are so beautiful. I'm especially in love with that red and blue one. But they are all so gorgeous and show your incredible eye for accessories.

    1. I did try to sell them for a while, but they funny thing about selling your own work is that a lot of people who would pay big bucks at retail think don't want to pay what it costs for the materials much less pay for any labor in creating the jewelry. I may try it again via etsy, but it is a bit discouraging to sit at a table and have people look but never buy.

  5. Very creative! That's great you make your own bracelets that way you can customize them to coordinate with your outfits - nice!

  12. Beautiful bracelets! You've inspired me to get out my supplies and make some new things. However, I think your skill level has surpassed mine. Making your own jewelry allows for customizing accessories to outfits.

  13. You have some beautiful specimens. I really like the one with the rose quartz hearts. Perhaps you should think about opening an Etsy shop.

  14. How fabulous that you can make the bracelet with the perfect colors to match an outfit. I have made a couple of pieces but just don't have the patience and my fingers don't always cooperate.

  15. I have vended at craft fairs many time. Not jewelery. People buy because the price point is what they had in mind that day. It never is related to what you put into a piece. So unless you come up with a very orginal theme for your jewelery or a very different look it is difficult to do more than break even. I have alot of friends that tell me this that sell jewelery.
I think your pieces are very lovely and they give you pleasure and a sense of accomplishment. I would try etsy as it has low overhead. My two cents.

  18. Your jewelry is truly beautiful.

There is nothing wrong with making it just for yourself- that's what I do. I refuse to sell- a lesson learned the hard way. LOL.

    I LOVE the heart bracelet!
