Visible Monday Mingle

Visible Monday with Patti at Not Dead Yet Style and Monday Mingle  with the Bon Bon Rose Girls makes Monday's so much more fun. I have been saving this outfit for a while and decided that today was the day to wear it. I love turquoise and apple green together. My blouse has those colors in it to pull the outfit together. We only went to Walmart Neighborhood Market and to breakfast so it wasn't visible for a very long period and I doubt anyone even noticed my outfit. However, I felt visible and happy in it. One side of my collar kept flipping up and of course my photographer did not notice it and tell me to fix it or the piece of hair that stuck out funny. Oh well, since I don't pay him I guess I should just keep quiet about it.

Jacket: Chico's faux leather
Blouse: CJ Banks
Tee: Coldwater Creek
Jeans: NYDJ Coated Denim
Shoes: Joseph Seibel
Belt: From France Luxe
These Not Your Daughter's Jeans are among my favorites. They are a coated denim and fit like a dream. They aren't tight around the waist and fit very well through the hips and thighs. If you haven't tried them, I would say to at least try them on. While they are more expensive than other jeans, they can be found on sale and even at full price are worth it for the fit. I bought these myself at full price, so it is a very honest review.
Necklace: Chico's
The little white rectangular piece on the necklace is going to be removed. I kept thinking it was a price tag, so I am sure other people probably will too, so it will be taken off before I wear this again.

  1. Gorgeous colors together, Debbi, I agree! I have heard a lot of good reviews of NYD jeans, and now I will have to give them a try. They look fab on you, for sure! Thanks so much for sharing in Visible Monday.

  5. I like the match. Blue and green go great together. And yes, I thought it's a price tag :D

  6. I love that color combo too! yes, the white piece does look like a price tag, maybe it would work better on a bracelet? I love the jeans and will have to see where I can find some.

  7. This is one of my personal favorite color combos and you ddid it up right!! LOVE the jacket--that blue is awesome on you!!
you're right about the necklace--the white square thing reads like a price tag!!

  8. Great color combination - so springy!

I would love to try NYDJ but they are too short for me - like nearly all jeans.

Good idea about the price tag thingy. Removing it will make the other beautiful beads stand out more.

  9. These are just lovely colours on you Debbi!! I see what you mean about the "price tag"... it's seems funny that they added a rectangular white piece on a lovely necklace of organic shapes and bright colours, I think you're wise to remove it - it will then be perfect.

It made me laugh what you said about the photographer not mentioning your collar: before we take my photos, I instruct my husband to look out for this, this and this (specifics on shirt being pulled down, necklace not half tucked in a sweater, etc)! Poor thing I don't know how he puts up with me!! Though we are always more critical of ourselves aren't we when others don't notice these details :))

  10. It's a cheery outfit and the necklace ties it together well. You're right that the jeans fit well. Do I dare ask the price range?

  11. You look bright and cheerful. I like the belt, that's unusual for you.

  12. Omg that jacket is gorgeous, seriously I can't get over that color, fit and those awesome zippers. These colors look great on you. And those jeans really do have a nice fit. I'm partial to my Levi's as the best fit for me, but I'm also biased since I thrifted them. Good call on the necklace, I think the white piece just doesn't fit with the other beads/pendants.

Ugh, yeah Hubs isn't good at pointing out weird collars/odd hair or worse, bad shadows on my face. I usually try to sneak a peek at myself in the car window reflection if I can to make sure I'm not crazy looking, but somethings I missed until looking at the photos.

  13. This outfit is a real winner. I have links on the right side of my blog that show a tiny copy of your outfit picture when you post, and even in that one inch square, I knew how good it looked. The belt is such a nice addition. Glad those NYDJ work for you. You must have a better waistline than I do. Mine are from one of their first years and I went and tried them on again after reading how much you loved yours - and again they pushed all my stomach up and gave me such a fat roll. Maybe I will try on a current pair, since it doesn't look like Chico's will bring back their W-Fit and I'm running out of jeans.

  16. I just loooove these colors. You look so good in this outfit. Love that belt and necklace with it too.
So funny about your husband. He's literally your "free"lance photographer. haha So sweet that he does it though. I don't think my husbands that into it, so I just don't ask normally.

  19. Great colors really. Blue and turquoise are perfect and they flatter your skin tone. You're right about the rectangle piece on the necklace...haha...i thought it was a price tag but otherwise it's a nice statement piece, the color and textures are fabulous!

  20. Those jeans look so nice on you! I have heard of that brand before. Love the apple green -- you don't see that color too much around (and I don't think that I can wear it with my coloring). LOL about your photographer. When I had my friend at work taking my pictures, he wouldn't see those things either, and then I would grab the camera back and check them, and I would be like RIIIICK (that is Rick with a major whine in my voice) why didn't you tell me. And he would have to take the pictures all over again. he didn't mind though. I was wondering what you would think of my dragonfly -- I had a feeling that you would like it. :-)

  21. I noticed you signed up to follow my blog (thank you) and then I saw the title of yours. Irresistible! I tend to ignore accessories--it takes enough time just to figure out what to wear. Maybe I can learn here. Also agree about NYDJ; they're the only ones that stay up on me without a belt.

  22. Wow! Love those two colors together, I never thought so beautiful that they combined together, so now I have to try this, thanks Debbie for being an inspiration.
