Zig Zag Lines

I bought this sweater at the 1/2 of 1/2 Store. I was attracted to the colors and the graphic design, I am not sure how much I like it after seeing the pictures. It is supposed to be reversible, but I really don't care for the marbled look of the reverse side.  The sleeves are bell shaped and a pain in the patootie. I drug one of them through my dinner tonight.

Sweater: 1/2 of 1/2 store
Blouse: Chico's
Jeans: Dressbarn
Shoes: Think! (I added the red laces)
Chico's necklace
I have been putting off getting a new cell phone, but I am starting to see how nice it would be to have one that would take decent pictures. That way I could easily see how I look in something before I buy it. I don't think I would've purchased this sweater if I had seen a picture of myself. So, now I guess I will be looking at new phones. Anyone have an iPhone 4? What do you think of it? Do you have any other recommendations on a phone that will take high quality pictures?

  1. I'm a huge fan of Missoni, so, I like your jacket. Probably you have to get used to the graphic design.
Why not try it with a simple Tee and several of your beautiful necklaces you own?
In my opinion you should keep it.

  2. I think it's a great looking sweater/jacket, very striking. What is it you don't like about the piece?

  3. I also love the look, but empathize about the sleeve shape. Unless one is going to sit very still, that sleeve can be a pest. Could it be altered? Love the pattern.

  5. I think it looks very Missoni. I personally like the sleeve shape, but I also know big sleeves have limited application and can be very annoying.

Maybe consider alterations or finding someone you can swap with?

  6. I don't use my cell a lot and have plenty of online access at work and at home so I get by with a regular phone. When I replaced it last year I bought one with a better camera. It keeps my monthly fee lower.

The close-up is interesting. From a distance the sweater doesn't seem to have the same shade of red as the blouse and appears to have brown instead of black stripes, but close-up the red matches and I see that the stripes are black.

I like the jacket but will file the potential for optical illusion down as a hazard of zig-zag stripes.

  9. @dj pseu I think it is the graphic design that is off putting to me. I like to think I am very trendy, but I think I am really more classic that I realized. I feel like this is just "too" much for me.

  11. LOL (about your dinner sleeve) ... As for the sweater, I think it's all in the attitude. In the first picture, you look great, and I think it's because you just look like you are on top of the world (you know?). In the second picture, it's like you are telling me -- I really don't like this outfit -- what have I got myself into? Do you know what I mean? I think it looks pretty good though! Maybe you can shorten the sleeves to 3/4?
