Visible Monday , New Hair Colors & Etsy

Today, I am linking up with Patti at Not Dead Yet Style for Visible Monday #31.  Please check out all the participants. I know I find every Visible Monday fun and I am amazed at how wonderful everyone looks in their own visible style.

Friday, I got my hair color weaved. Brenda, my hairdresser, used 3 colors--blond, dark brown, and a purple red (that I chose.) It is certainly different to see myself in the mirror! The colors will no doubt fade, but right now they are certainly visible.

A couple of my items today are from Etsy. I really like to shop on Etsy because I can find things that are very unusual and unique. I also like to support small businesses or individual artists and Etsy is one way to do so. If you have never visited it here is a link to it> Etsy  It can be as addictive as Pinterest!

Spats from Etsy

I wore the spats, which are made from recycled suit coats, to cover my socks. I received several compliments on them. I have had them for quite a long time and this is the first time I wore them, but it won't be the last. I can see now that they are great for covering the tops of your shoes to hide your socks.

Have you ever purchased any items from sellers on Etsy?

  3. I love the new hair, I don't like my hair one solid color either. Finally, after many years, I have started to use my hair as an acessory and play with it. I love the scarf too!

  6. Close-up, close-up on the hair! I always admire hair that's not just all one color. Even if it's got a shot of "red-purple" I think it looks authentic, and grows out more gracefully.

That's a great scarf. I can't buy any scarves on Etsy because I have a good friend who earns pocket money painting scarves, but I can say with experience that it's a nice design with workable colors.

  11. I have never heard of spats. Do they make them for men? My husband - who is 6'7" could use a pair to hide his socks.

Great job on the hair. I find the key with highlights is to have more than one color weaved in to give contrast and make them look more natural.

I do shop on Etsy sometimes. Usually for scarves, like you, and jewelry.

    Happy Monday! xo

  13. Someday, I will be brave with my hair colouring. Yours is inspiring, for sure, and spats? How cool! That scarf is beautiful, and I think Etsy could be a very dangerous place for me.
