Black and pink
I have always loved the combination of black and hot pink. This outfit contains both with a pretty print.
Today when I was picking out what to wear, the thought ran through my mind that the top I was picking out was work clothing. I can now wear anything I own whenever I want, but the years of thinking I had to "save" the nicest things for work imprinted somewhat indelibly in my brain. Do you have items of apparel that you don't wear except for wearing to work?

I really like the sandals...they are so cute!
ReplyDeleteI definitely have items that feel like they should be reserved for work, but I have been working on being more dressy in my day to day life. I also like the combination of black and pink.

ReplyDeleteWith the trend of mixing the fancy with the not so fancy, the lines are blurring but some items still are left for work. And if they get stained or loose it--they are relegated for play.
Those sandals are super cute! Loving that necklace and those cute bracelets! Don't you just love Dillard's!! They have some amazing sales a couple of times a year!! Kiah
ReplyDeleteThis has been a big issue for me this summer as I've been unemployed! I have a closet full of things that have hung there the entire summer unworn.
ReplyDeleteI've worn some of the skirts and casual blouses but most of the dresses and jackets or sweaters have just sat there.
One thing I liked about going to work was getting dressed to go there. I feel a bit pathetic getting dressed-up to go shopping or to run errands, although I've seen plenty of women my age who appear to do so.
Happily I am going back to work next week so I can avoid resolving the issue, hopefully for a long time!

Cute printed top, and you look really happy wearing it! Today I am in love with the accessory pairings. Such sweet details set in an unconventional way. Love the metal hearts and the bow bangles. You really do have the best accessories.
ReplyDeleteI used to have a closet full of things I didn't wear because they were "special" - then I realized how silly I was being because the clothes were going to waste. So now I only buy something if I plan to really wear it.
I love the Hot Pink and Black - that blouse is such a pretty print. I love being retired and wearing my old work wardrobe in different combinations. I almost always include a print, instead of the solid color outfits I would wear to work.

Delicious ... This outfit is really delicious! Love this fresh combination of colors! I have the luck you can use any item in my work, which is total freedom, in other times I was "subject to" work clothes and I ended up hating them.
